my week in pictures

i've been feeling super inspired by all of these sunny days and i think it's coming out in my clothing choices and i've been drawing again! yay! i sometimes get into weird funks where i stare at my paint set and easel from across the room and want to paint something so badly but just feel frozen. it's a weird feeling....i'd imagine it would be something equivalent to writers block, but it's gone for now!

i rode my bike over  to williamsburg the other day popped into catbird amongst other stores and i picked up these delicate little wisps of beauty, some delicious vanilla for the fellas as i like to say perfume and a beautiful citrine stone that i have been meditating with every night from the little store across the street. i've basically been wearing my memory and threadbares everyday since i got them and i have to say for such delicate little bands they are super tough.  my vanilla perfume has been getting mixed with patchouli and lavender, i'm taking it back to 6th grade circa 1996 and i am perfecting my hippie love potion dreams. everything is coming up magical this spring and i want to role with this sweetness for as long as i can.

Redken Extreme Anti Snap

Ok, so I think you all know that it pains me enormously to say a product that isn't totally natural works wonders, but here it goes. Redken you truly brought something my hair was clearly lacking back into the game! Baw chicka bawawa. I put two pumps in clean damp hair, pulled the wide tooth comb through my seemingly already stronger locks and let it air dry. It looked great! Strong, shiny and the weird puffy frizz on my ends were totally smooth. Gasp!!!  After last summers bleach capades I have learned a valuable lesson. Leave the bleach alone and if you get cray on your strands you can always save them from extinction with a few pumps of this stuff. 

Redken my biggest qualm with you is I am pretty sure you test on animals which I am strongly urging you to stop! I love little mice, rats, stray dogs and cats and it makes me really sad to think my hair is lookin fine while little baby animals have the stuff jammed in their innocent little eyes. Please stop and I will promote the shit out of your products. Till then, I shall say great product , but not such ethical treatment of critters. 

My God.

You can believe in the invisible man in the sky or you can believe in this beautiful piece of Mother Nature. Something you can physically hold and savor.

Although I would love to say that the winter is over and I will have to wait till next year to wear either of these super cool outfits I can actually just wear either today. Or tomorrow. Or next week by the looks of things. Come on Mother Naturrrrrrre. Come on.
